Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Kenya for a 3-day state visit. President Uhuru Kenyatta was at the Eldoret International Airport to welcome him.
As part of the visit, President Buhari joined his host, Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud and other dignitaries at a memorial service for the Kenyan soldiers who were killed by al-Shabaab on January 15 in Somalia.

The Kenya government is yet to make public the number of soldiers killed in the recent attack. On Tuesday Kenya was reported to have withdrawn its troops from the El Ade base, where they were attacked.
The leaders are expected to lay wreaths in honour of the fallen KDF soldiers at the Moi barracks

President Buhari and President Kenyatta are expected to hold private talks on Thursday followed by a bilateral meeting at the state house in Nairobi. The two men will also preside over a Kenya-Nigeria business forum.
Also key on the agenda is security as the two countries deal with militant attacks. President Buhari’s delegation includes the Ministers of Finance, Foreign Affairs and Trade and Investment.
