The reason for the shift is due in part to Instagram’s broader user base and it’s use of Facebook ad technology which enables advertiser to target highly specific audiences.
That comes hard on the heels of news that Snapchat is on track to overtake Twitter in active users in the United States.
Suffering stagnant user growth, ad sales has been one of Twitter’s few bright spots.
It rejected the survey results , pointing to another study that showed more advertisers intended to or were considering buying ads on Twitter than Instagram.
The Survey shows the growing power of Instagram and further indicates that Instagram has over 200,000 advertisers compared with Twitter’s 130,000
Twitter has three hundred and ten million users, Instagram has over four hundred million.
