2016 Review
Pictures played a huge part in our news coverage over the last one year. Whiles every story comes with a picture, there are times the team served hosts of pictures surrounding an article.
Our photo galleries came in handy. From our official flickr handle, ‘Africanews Channel’ we uploaded close to 700 photos – with the view to tell stories more vividly.
From the political to the economic, the diplomatic to the sporty, the fashion through to pageantry. The human interest through to the protest and human rights bit not forgetting the cultural and death relate pictures plus the outright bizarre.
We present our top 10 photo albums over the last year. Yours is to flip, scroll down and keep flipping. The photo albums are as follows in no particular order.
1. ‘Pharoah’: Egypt’s strongest man
2. Kenyan Prez gives his seat to a student
3. Kenya burns illegal firearms
