Peru celebrates International Dog Day with race
Pet owners in Lima took part in a race with their four-legged companions on Sunday as part of an event to mark International Dog Day. Diana Ramos, a representative of the Municipality of Lima, said the "Mascotón" aimed to encourage owners to adopt healthy habits, such as walking and running with their dogs. The pets were seen by a veterinarian before the race to ensure they were in a healthy condition.
