Nigeria's Kanu tips young Akpom for success at Arsenal

Former Nigerian international Nwankwo Kanu has marked his fellow Nigerian striker with Arsenal, Chuba Akpom, to be successful at the London club.

“Happy to see my younger brother akpom and talk and advice and support him in all his doing.he will be the best watch,” the former Super Eagles captain, Kanu wrote on Twitter.

Kanu, also a former Arsenal striker believes that the 20-year-old Akpom who is a highly rated talent from the club’s academy having broken into the first team, would thrive despite equally good talents in the Arsenal team.

Kanu believes the youngster is gifted, and he’s gotten the potential to grow into a matured player that can make things happen at the Emirates in the near future.

The youngster is eligible to play for his native Nigeria at the senior level, despite having featured for England at the youth levels at under-18 and under-21 levels.

He played a bit part role in Arsenal last season, after returning from a loan spell from Hull City and is expected to play an even bigger role for the Gunners in the coming season.

He would join Alex Iwobi, who elected to play for Nigeria instead of England and is expected to be key for the north london side heading into the next season.
