The parents of two American CIA contractors killed in an attack in Libya are suing Hillary Clinton over their deaths.
Parents of two Americans killed in Libya file lawsuit against Hillary Clinton
Patricia Smith and Charles Woods, parents of Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods, claim the former Secretary of State’s use of a private email server may have revealed their sons’ location in Libya.
Earlier this year, a Republican-led committee cleared Clinton of any wrongdoing.
Despite this, both parents have spoken out publicly against Clinton at Republican conventions during the election campaign.
The lawsuit is being filed on their behalf by the conservative group Freedom Watch.
Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods were killed when Islamic militants attacked a US diplomatic compound in Benghazi in September 2012. Amongst the four Americans killed was the ambassador Chris Stevens.
A spokesman for Hilary Clinton said: “While no one can imagine the pain of the families of the brave Americans we lost at Benghazi, there have been nine different investigations into this attack and none found any evidence whatsoever of any wrongdoing on the part of Hillary Clinton.”
