Mali and Algeria recently met for a joint commission of cooperation between the two countries.The meeting which was under the co-presidency of the Prime Minister Modibo Keita of Mali and Algeria Abdelmalek Sellal was held in the Mali capital, Bamako.

The authorities of the two countries met for the first Mali-Algeria Economic Forum with an intention to strengthen their economic cooperation.
The joint commission for cooperation between the two countries has enabled them to sign a non-Double taxation agreement for Malians and Algerians business men .The agreement is for those who want to invest in both countries.
The meeting, contribute to the strengthening of the bilateral relation between the Republic of Mali and the Algerian Democratic Republic and popular cooperation.
The joint commission is intended to give a new dynamic to these relationships and will examine ways and means for the strengthening of cooperation in the economic and social sectors such as trade, training, transport, farming and agriculture between the two countries.
