Kenya: Normalcy resumes at Kenyatta Airport following emergency crash landing

Passengers departing from Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport are facing delays as airlines rush to clear their backlogs.

This follows the temporary closure of the airport after an emergency landing of a Somali plane, which veered off the main runway.

Flights were being diverted to other airports, including Mombasa nearly four hours after the incident.

The airport resumed operations some few hours after the closure and released a statement.
