Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni gave a testimony in church on Sunday that he received a sudden healing after Pope Francis prayed for him during the UN General Assembly last month.
Uganda's Museveni says he was healed by Pope Francis' prayer
He told the Kampala Archdiocese congregation at Namugongo Catholic Shrine that he was healed of a fractured hand after an accident.
“I had fractured my hand accidentally by hitting something and when I met him (Pope Francis), somehow we were in the same room in the UN General Assembly. I was coming from the podium after making a speech and he was going to make his, so he prayed for me and my fractured hand got healed,” he was quoted by local news portal the Daily Monitor.
He expressed gratitude to the Roman Catholic pontiff as he marked the 50th anniversary of the Kampala Archdiocese.
I also thank Pontifex for being our friend. He was here to celebrate the martyrs anniversary. Recently, I met him in USA & he prayed for me pic.twitter.com/ZMN5MIYWEf— Yoweri K Museveni (KagutaMuseveni) October 29, 2017

Museveni is an Evangelical Christian and preaches a few times at the Miracle Centre Cathedral, a church he inaugurated in 2004.
In 2012, the president who has been in power for over 30 years openly repented his sins and the sins of Uganda during a national prayer event.
