Thousands protests fuel hike, cost of living in Conakry [No Comment]

Thousands took to the streets in Guinea’s capital, Conakry on Tuesday (July 10), to protest against increasing fuel costs, which they say has driven up prices of commodities, doubling the cost of some goods, in the last few months.

This week’s protest is part of ongoing call by unions to mobilise against the fuel hike as well as what they say is increased economic hardship in the country.

The fuel hike is the latest in a series of events that have angered Guineans.
